FOSTERING A SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE
Foster youth are just like every other kid – they want to experience life at its fullest. This is why we have created opportunities for all youth in the Arizona group home system access to fun, engaging and life changing experiences.
It all started with Cowboy Camp. For years Cowboy Camp was one of the most recognized annual events that youth in the foster group homes had the opportunity to attend. A day and a half on a working dude ranch experiencing the cowboy / cowgirl way of life. From UTV rides to horse feeding and horseback rides to the campfire chat, Cowboy Camp has been a staple for the foster youth of Arizona.
In 2024 we dedicated ourselves to expanding the mission of Fostering Heroes to provide more frequent and engaging experiences that not only provide entertainment; but, provide important life skills like teamwork, creativity, communication and education; thus, Fostering Life Experiences was born.
From our Bold Athletics soccer and basketball camps and tournaments to our Namaste yoga / tai chi experience to our field trips to The Walter Hive, AZ Youthforce and Skill Up Arizona to our music and art programs, we are delivering experiences to many of the foster youth in group homes they would never have a chance to be a part of.
We also offer everyday type life experiences all kids should have access to such as zoo trips, roller skating outings, play days at the park, sporting event outings, bowling and museum excursions…just to name a few!
Your support allows us to deliver these awesome life experience opportunities that these kids deserve.

Through Cowboy Camp foster youth get a chance to live out a once in a lifetime experience as a cowboy/cowgirl at an authentic Arizona dude ranch.
You haven’t seen excitement until you’ve seen a foster youth, who rarely have fun for fun’s sake, learn to trust a beautiful horse while feeding it, open up around a campfire to excitedly tell volunteers what they want to be when they grow up, see them playing Marco Polo in the pool for the first time, watching them enjoy the thrill of riding in a side-by-sides through the desert, watch them sign the branded souvenir board, seeing them pick out clothes and toiletries before they leave to head back to their group home.
Cowboy Camp helps these youth interact in areas they have never experienced before that will positively impact them for the rest of their lives.

ARIZONA QFCO TAX CREDIT DONATIONS INFORMATION
Thank you for your support of Fostering Heroes Foundation; as your Arizona Tax Credit allows us to provide life changing mentorship, resources, experiences and programs for foster youth ages 13 – 18 living in group homes. Our mission is simple – give the foster youth of Arizona a fighting chance as they prepare to age out of the system through personal character, life skills and career development. Your tax credit gift falls under the Qualifying Foster Care (QFCO) Tax Credit; individual donors may give up to $526 and joint filing donors may give up to $1,051. This gift may qualify as a dollar for dollar credit when filing your 2023 Arizona State taxes. In partnership with Executive Council Charities, your generous gift is matched to continue the support of foster youth throughout Arizona.
