As part of our mission, we want every foster youth to have access to high quality good paying job opportunities. Knowing a certain number of the foster youth we serve will not go onto continued education, we are working diligently towards providing career opportunities that do no require a degree. This is where our partnership programs come in.
Since 2023 we have partnered with a number of organizations that help Fostering Heroes provide new and exciting opportunities for foster youth to learn about career paths to break the generational poverty cycle.
MEET OUR PARTNERS
The Walter Hive provides foster youth with opportunities to create art projects while learning some new skills and about the trades these skills utilize. It is an awesome experience where youth get a hands on approach to creating and learning at the same time.
AZ Youthforce provides foster youth access to 60 hours of life skill and employment education and training. From learning simple conversational techniques to mock interviews to resume writing; AZ Youthforce is there to help the foster youth. In addition to job and life skills training, AZ Youthforce provides internship opportunities with the trades and other various large businesses across the Valley.
Skill Up Arizona is a collaboration of advocates from the precision manufacturing and machining industry, education, and the public workforce system aimed at providing skilled labor opportunities in the machining industry across Arizona. Skill Up Arizona has partnered with Fostering Heroes to provide education and field trips for foster youth to learn about this high paying specialized career opportunity.
